Micah grew up on farmland in a small southern town. His passion for watching—and making—movies began at a young age when his grandfather gave him a camera. And though that passion would eventually take him around the world, he still planted his roots with his wife and three kids less than an hour from his hometown—in Greenville, SC.
He’s an Emmy-nominated, national advertising and international film festival award winning writer and director; working on projects for Coca-Cola, Samsung, Lowe’s, FIFA, Showtime, and HBO MAX. But ultimately: he’s a relentless enthusiast. This makes it hard to fit in a box… in spite of his best efforts.
“I’ve been advised by people much more experienced and smarter than me to niche down, to pick something and specialize. But I don’t thrive on formulas. I think creativity comes when you engage your imagination to solve problems. I work best when I’m challenged to learn something new on a regular basis.”
From scripted comedy, to down-to-earth documentaries, to heart-warming commercials, Micah’s done it—and loved it. If he has any specialty, it’s bringing heart, soul, and warmth to each project. His niche is creating pieces that connect.
“If I have a super-power, it’s that I love to learn about new things and I am genuinely interested in every person’s story.”
He is the world’s most interested man. And he brings that sense of wonder and enthusiasm to every project: always seeking to elevate the creative, the people involved, and the final product.
